Earthworm Jim - PC
It's a cliche as dull as the one about vicars and socialism that the PC hasn't got any decent platformers.
Even though it has: all the Disney ones since Aladdin.
But here is a title which not only manages to smash that cliche against a barrel, but whisks the smuts off another: that Windows 95 games have all the graphic appeal of a soured goitre.
Earthworm Jim contrives an eerie similitude to its console wolf-dad.
In fact, pig-face, it's in so many ways superior to the cart version. Yes: this is the enhanced Special Edition as seen on the Mega CD, with an extra level and some new weapons and stuff.
A neat blend of genuinely amusing animation and novel puzzle-y bits, this really is the PC platformer you can eat without having to go all funny.
