Digifest was a festival celebrating all things Digitiser, wrapped into the Block Party 2016 teletext event. Taking place within the ideally-suited environs of the Centre For Computing History in Cambridge, it featured a host of attractions, from a live demonstration of teletext recovery and displays of teletext art being created while you watched during the day, to full-blown Digi-themed insanity in the evening.
Not even two years on from the return of Digi in the form of Digitiser2000.com, and its passionate following had "come together" to revel in stories of its mad history. The Ultimate Digitiser Panel featured not just Mr Biffo, but Mr Hairs and Bad Influence's Violet Berlin too, while the barely-controlled-chaos of Quiz-Me-Do! gave Biffo a chance to don a sequinned jacket to play the warped quiz show host.
The evening also featured the debut screening of what came to be known as Mr Biffo's Found Footage: The Pilot. In fact, the event was instrumental in demonstrating to Mr Biffo how much interest there was in a full-blown series of Found Footage, leading to the launch of a crowdfunder only a short time later.
